Little ‘Ol Me?

Gosh, you want me to tell you about me? But I’m so shy! YEAH RIGHT! Here goes!

I have it pretty good I’m not gonna lie.  I’m living the dream!

I’m a little Southern girl born in Tennessee, but grew up in Pennsylvania and went to college at the University of Iowa (Go Hawkeyes), but now I live in Northern Virginia with my 8 month old daughter, two yorkies and my Australian hubby.

I’m a mom, a wife and a loyal friend. I talk WAY TOO FAST, love music, hot cocoa, Mexican food and cuddling with my daughter & husband. I love the Notebook even though it makes cry hysterically and Christmas time more than any other season! I love photography and I always have.

That brings us to now.  I have always loved photography, but didn’t actually want to take it up as more than a hobby until my daughter Kate started batting her baby blues at my camera.  She is the light of my life, apple of my eye and the joy of my days.  Seeing her expressions come to life in photos has driven me to want to take more and more photos, not just of her, but of others too.  After starting to have sessions with others families and children, I knew there was no turning back!

I love natural light, chasing the sun and capturing the sunburst in photos. I love finding the natural beauty in every situation and making it a memory.
